Research agents

Gordon: a research agent that files a weekly investment letter

Every Sunday an agent sweeps eight research streams and delivers a structured letter. It has a personality, and it does not hedge.

Gordon runs eight parallel research streams every week, pulls from live sources, and returns a structured letter: thesis, supporting evidence, counter-argument, and what would have to be true for it to be wrong.

The format is the point

An unstructured research dump is noise. Gordon is forced into a template that makes its reasoning inspectable and its claims checkable. Every section has to be filled, including the one that argues against the thesis. If the counter-argument section is thin, that is itself information.

Why the personality

Gordon is modelled on a certain fictional financier. That is not a gimmick. It is a prompt constraint that stops the output collapsing into hedged mush. “It may be worth considering” is not a sentence Gordon is allowed to write.

What it is not

A personal research tool. Not financial advice, not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. It exists to make my own thinking more structured, and to give me something to argue with on a Sunday morning.
